Installing via APK​

Warning

Installing from unknown sources requires enabling the corresponding option in Android settings.

  1. Download the APK file
  2. Open Settings → Security
  3. Enable Unknown sources
  4. Find the downloaded file in Downloads
  5. Tap the file to install
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions

First Launch​

Permission Setup​

On first launch, the app will request the following permissions:

  • 📷 Camera – to take photos with MalO
  • 🖼️ Gallery – to save and view images
  • 📞 Contacts – to personalize your experience
  • 🔔 Notifications – to receive messages from MalO
Tip

It is recommended to grant all requested permissions for full functionality.

Creating a Profile​

  1. Enter your name
  2. Choose an avatar (optional)
  3. Set up notification preferences
  4. Accept the user agreement

Installation Check​

After successful installation, you will see:

  • The MalO icon on your home screen
  • A welcome message from your companion
  • Access to the app's main features

Troubleshooting​

The app does not install​

  • Make sure you have enough free space (at least 50 MB)
  • Check your Android version (7.0+ required)
  • Clear the Play Store cache

Permission issues​

  • Go to Settings → Apps → MalO
  • Check and enable the required permissions

The app crashes​

  • Restart your device
